Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are loved universally, yet a lot of people, allergic to eggs, are not able to enjoy this delicious treat. It is unfortunate that not many people know that one can get equal impressive results without using eggs at all. This recipe would teach you just how to do that – making egg free chocolate chip cookies. So, get ready for the treat.

Chocolate Chip








  • ¼ -½ cup (60-125 ml) melted butter
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup (125 ml) brown sugar
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (125 ml) plain yoghurt
  • 1 ¾ (430 ml) cups sifted all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon (2 ml) baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 ½ cup (375 ml) chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) chopped pecans, optional

Chocolate Chip











1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (around 375 degrees F).
2. Take a large mixing bowl and combine sugar, oil and melted butter. Mix until the ingredients have thoroughly combined.
3. Add vanilla and yogurt. Mix until smooth.
4. Add all purpose flour, salt and baking soda to the above mixture.
5. Mix, until all the ingredients come together.
6. If you are using nuts, add them now along with chocolate chips.
7. Divide the dough into roughly equal sized balls.
8. Place them on a greased baking tray.
9. Press each dough ball a little.
10. Bake them for around 10 minutes or until they get golden brown.
11. Remove from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack.
12. Allow the cookies to cool completely.
